Earlier we saw brands like Samsung, Huawei, TCL, Oppo showing their own Foldable devices at the MWC 2019. Now we have some bad news for OnePlus fans as they have no plans of launching any foldable device.
As per the interview with CNET, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau told that they are not in hurry to launch the foldable device in coming years as it requires a lot of investment and the high cost of manufacturing which doesn’t provide value to the end user.
Apart from that, Pete Lau also confirmed that the new foldable trend is very interesting and even if they plan to introduce int he future there is no way to keep the cost of the device low. So OnePlus will retain its old business strategy by offering great products at value for money price segments as they did in the past.
