ZTE sub-brand Nubia has showcased the new device which is a smartwatch that also doubles up as a full-fledged smartphone, yes the dreams are now turned into reality with the new Nubia Alpha.
The new Nubia Alpha features 4.0 inches flexible OLED display with a resolution of 960 x 192p having an aspect ratio of 36:9 which is made in the collaboration with Visionox. It comes with a taller and narrower form factor that allows fitting into the wrist easily. It is built out of stainless steel and the display is coated with heat-resistant polyimide. It also comes with an 18K Gold variant.
Further, the new Nubia Alpha is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 Wearable SoC coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. The device comes with a motion gesture along with Air Interaction Mechanism and runs on Custom OS which is not Android. It comes with standard fitness features like tracks your heartbeat, tracks your step and sleeps etc.
The new Nubia Alpha also features a 5MP camera with an aperture of f/2.2 which can be activated by turning the wrist to make Video calls or capture images. The device also features e-SIM variant which comes with calling and 4G LTE support. The connectivity features include Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, and Bluetooth 5.0. The device is also water resistant.
The new Nubia Alpha Bluetooth only version will cost you €450 (Rs.36,400/-) and will be available only in Black color. The new Nubia Alpha with 4G eSIM version will cost €550 (Rs.44,500/-) and the Gold version at €650 (Rs.52,500/-). The new Nubia Alpha will go on sale in China from April later it will expand in Europe by Q3 and the US in the Q4 2019.
