Earlier we saw few Nokia 9 devices receiving the much awaited Android 9 Pie update but the Indian variants where still running on the older Android 8.1 Oreo which didn’t go well with the users. So one of the user asked the Nokia CFO Juho Sarvikas on Twitter regarding the Android 9 Pie update for Nokia 8 Indian variant and Nokia 6 (2017).
To which Juho replied that they are currently working for the new Android 9 Pie update and might start receiving the update as early as next week if all goes well for both the Nokia 8 & Nokia 6 (2017). He also stated that if the device update has quality issues then it might take some more time to roll out the update.
So Nokia 8 and Nokia 6 (2017) is finally getting the Android 9 Pie update later next week. Will update the post once Nokia starts pushing the update.
