Xiaomi is all set to enter the Android Go smartphone race with the new budget handset the Redmi Go. Earlier we had spotted the device in the various listing which didn’t reveal much about the device apart from the model number.
Now Xiaomi Philippines has officially started teasing the new Redmi Go on their Social media accounts. As per the post, Xiaomi teases the new Redmi Go with hashtag #GoSmartDoMore. Within few hours of a teaser, we already have the press renders along with detailed specs leaked.
As per the source, the new Redmi Go will come with standard 16:9 aspect ratio display with thicker bezels as it is a budget smartphone. It will feature three touch-based capacitive buttons which are not backlighted. On the back, we have a single rear camera with LED flash and no fingerprint support. The new Redmi Go will come in two colors with Black & Blue colors.
The new Redmi Go will sport 5.0 inches 16:9 aspect ratio HD (1280*720p) LCD display. It is powered by Qualcomm SD425 SoC coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. It comes with microSD card slot which can expand up to 128GB. It measures 8.35 mm thick and weighs 137 grams.
The Redmi Go features 8MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0 with HDR support and LED Flash and 5MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.2. The connectivity options include Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, micro USB port and 3.5 mm audio jack. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go edition out of the box.
