Earlier last week Xiaomi announced that the sub-brand Redmi will now become independent brand after Honor and Realme. Earlier we also got to know that the upcoming Redmi smartphone will feature a 48MP rear camera which is all set to launch on Jan 10 in China.
Today, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has just shared his thoughts to Redmi fans on microblog Weibo in China. As per the post on Weibo, Lei Jun asked his fans whether anyone would be shelling out 2999 Yuan (Rs.30,000/-) for a Redmi flagship in China. So is Xiaomi planning to launch a competitor to Honor V20 which too features the same 48Mp primary lens and is priced similarly in China? We have to wait for Jan 10.
Anyway, we are still clueless about what will be the exact model name for the upcoming Redmi flagship as previously it was rumored to be named as Redmi Pro 2 or Redmi 7 but none of them are confirmed at the moment.
