After teasing the upcoming LG 5G smartphone we now have few reports which leak the name of the device. As per the report by ETNews, the upcoming LG 5G phone turns out to be the new LG V50 ThinQ 5G.
ETNews confirms that the 5G phone is none other than the successor to last year flagship LG V40 ThinQ with LG V50 ThinQ 5G. The new LG V50 ThinQ 5G will go on sale from March 2019 as per the same source. The new LG V50 ThinQ 5G will be available to select markets with South Korea, the US, and Europe.
As per the source, the LG V50 ThinQ 5G will cost between 1.3 million won (Rs.83,000/-) and 1.5 million won (Rs.95,500/-) in South Korea but will be priced competitively in the US. At the moment, LG has confirmed some of the specs with SD855 SoC, 4000 mAh battery new vapor chamber cooling tech and 5G support.
Further, we have spotted an unknown LG device on EUIPO which has granted the patent for the new waterdrop display. LG had applied for the patent last year which has now been published on EUIPO website. As per the patent, we can see the new LG device which might be the LG V50 ThinQ 5G featuring almost thinner bezels with waterdrop notch above.
On the rear, we have Dual rear cameras aligned vertically with LED flash and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The SIM card tray on the top and Power button on the right along with Volume keys on the left of the device.
