Honor has finally put the new Honor Play 8A on sale on VMall website ahead of Jan 8 official launch event in China. Earlier we had got various renders and specs leaked today we have the device official. The new Honor has now taken Xiaomi way and launched a competitor for Mi Play with Honor Play 8A in China with almost similar specs.
The new Honor Play 8A comes in four colors with Red, Black, Blue, and Gold colors. The new Honor Play 8A with 3GB+32GB is priced at 799 Yuan (Rs.8,100/-) and 3GB+64GB at 999 Yuan (Rs.10,100/-) in China and is already up on sale.
The new Honor Play 8A comes with the polycarbonate back with metal chassis and measures 156.28 x 73.5 x 8.0mm. It weighs 150 grams. The new Honor Play 8A sport 6.09 inches IPS LCD Waterdrop HD+ (1520*720p) display. The new Honor Play 8A is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 SoC the same one powering the Mi Play coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage. The device comes with a dedicated microSD card slot which can expand storage up to 256GB.
The new Honor Play 8A comes with a single 13MP rear camera with an aperture of f/1.8, PDAF, and LED flash. There is 8MP FF selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0 which doubles up as Face Unlock. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE support, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, micro USB port and 3.5 mm audio jack.
Sadly, the device lacks the fingerprint scanner support and packs 3020 mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging. The new Honor Play 8A runs on Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.0 out of the box.
