After Asus, Acer, Samsung, and HP we now have the leading Chinese computing brand Lenovo upgrading its laptop lineup with new ThinkPad X1 series in CES 2019. The new laptops under the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 series include ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Gen and ThinkPad X1 Yoga 4th Gen.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon and ThinkPad X1 Yoga:

The new ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Gen and ThinkPad X1 Yoga 4th Gen are the lighter and slimmer laptops till date whereas the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 4th Gen is the first ThinkPad with all-Aluminium chassis.

Both the new ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Gen and ThinkPad X1 Yoga 4th Gen sports the 14 inches 500 nit, 10 bit, 4K Dolby Vision panel or a 400 nit FHD display. The new laptops also ship with Dolby Atmos system with four speakers and four far-field mics. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Gen and ThinkPad X1 Yoga 4th Gen are powered by the new 8th Gen  Whisky Lake Intel Core processor.

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Gen and ThinkPad X1 Yoga 4th Gen comes upto 16GB RAM and storage up to 2TB SSD storage. Both the laptops come with USB 3.1 Type-C ports, 3.5 mm audio jack and advanced connectivity (2x HDMI 2.0 and 1 x DP 1.4). The devices also come with new LTE-A Wireless WAN support along with CAT 16 LTE.

The new ThinkPad X1 series comes with new features like ThinkPad PrivacyAlert which turns on if someone looks into the display and comes with ThinkShutter both HD and IR cameras.

ThinkVision P44W & Legion Y44W Monitors:

Lenovo also introduces two new monitors with Lenovo ThinkPad P44W for business users and Legion Y44W for gamers. Both the monitor’s sports 43.4 inches DWUXGA display panels with an aspect ratio of 32:10 having a resolution of 3840×1200p.

The new monitors come with PBP aka picture-by-picture with one key enable and switch for dual sources offers new levels of multi-tasking capability. Both the monitors come with VESA certification with 400 nits and support AMD FreeSync 2 technology. The connectivity option includes 2xHDMI 2.0 ports, 1xDisplayPort, 2xUSB-C ports, and 4xUSB ports.

The new ThinkPad X1 Carbon is priced at $1709 (Rs.1,19,800/-) whereas the ThinkPad X1 Yoga at $1929 (Rs.1,35,200/-) will be available from June 2019. ThinkVision P44w is priced at $1299 (Rs.92,100/-) and will be available from April 2019.
