Apple

Earlier we saw Apple launching the new generation of iPad Pro 2018 which came with USB Type-C port instead of the lightning port. Now Apple is planning to introduce the new port to future iPhones too.

iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max

As per the report by Mac Otakara, Apple is planning to completely ditch the lightning port for the 2019 iPhones. So finally we may see the 2019 iPhone launching with USB-C port instead of the lightning port. Currently, there is no guarantee that the upcoming iPhones will ship with new USB-C port or will still land with the same old lightning port.

Further, the same report claims that Apple is also looking to launch the new iPod Touch along with the new 2019 iPhones later this year. The reports claim that Apple is currently working on the 7th Gen iPod Touch and doesn’t provide any details about the device. The last iPod Touch was launched in 2015 which was powered by A8 chipset.
