Samsung is all set to refresh its smartwatch line up later next year. Samsung announced the latest Galaxy Watch where it also ditched the Gear branding earlier this year. Earlier this year we saw Samsung Gear Sport was the last smartwatch to come with Gear branding which had the model number SM-R600.
Now Sammobile has spotted a new smartwatch in works with model number SM-R500 which has gone backward in numbering from SM-600 as now Samsung switched from Gear to Galaxy series similar to Galaxy Watch which arrives with SM-R8xx model number instead of SM-R7xx.
Further, the source also got firmware number with R500XXE0ARL5 of the upcoming smartwatch which is codenamed as Pulse. So it looks like the successor to last year launched fitness watch Samsung Gear Sport. The new Pulse will also bring the Bixby reminder feature and is rumored to launch along with Galaxy S10 series.
