Samsung is alls et to unveil the new Samsung Galaxy S10 series later next year and we already saw numerous leaks and rumors about the device. Now popular website XDA Developer has got few codenames leaked through Galaxy Note 9 One UI firmware.
As per the source, they have found a new codename with boltq5gvzw which is none other than a 5G variant of Galaxy S10 having SD855 SoC which is named as Bolt. The codenamed Bolt will be exclusive to Verizon Networks in the US. Further, we have got another device with codename Beyond X which was earlier rumored to be the top end variant of Galaxy S10.
Samsung announced the new One UI at SDC2018 which showed that if the device is Blue in color the wallpaper will turn to Blue which is now codenamed as wallpaper_device_color. We are still not sure whether this feature will be made available with Galaxy S10.
Further, the new firmware also confirmed that the new Samsung Galaxy S10 series will be powered by Qualcomm and Exynos chipset. As per the source, the biometric APK revealed the SD855 and Exynos 9820 SoC on Galaxy S10.
As per the source, the new Galaxy S10 with SD855/Exynos 9820 will feature Face Unlock feature called FEATURE_HAL_3_SECURE_CAMERA. Further, the firmware has dump new animation for facial recognition which should be selfie camera based. The source managed to dig several animations with the help of Adobe After Filters.
As per the animation, the Standard variant of Galaxy S10 Lite aka Beyond0 and Galaxy S10 aka Beyond1 will feature circular cutout that glows when the face is recognized or camera is opened. The new Samsung Galaxy S10+ aka Beyond2 will feature oval-shaped dual cameras at the front which will also glow similar to other two.
The source also got the cutout dimensions with 132x132px on Galaxy S10 Lite, 138x138px on the Galaxy S10 and 132x258px on the Galaxy S10+ as it features Dual selfie cameras.
