With just a few days left to say goodbye to 2018, we have some good news from Reliance Jio as the company is planning to introduce few smartphones under budget segment later next year.
Jio took the lead position after introducing the famous Reliance JioPhone and JioPhone 2 which has captured the top position in the feature phone market in India. Now the company is planning to launch a few affordable smartphones in the country. As per the interview with ET, Jio Sales head Sunil Dutt revealed that they are working on few affordable large-screen smartphones.
He further states that there around 500 Million users who are still stuck with a feature phone and wants them to move to a smartphone. As per the source, Reliance Jio will launch the new smartphones every few months next year.
Further, Reliance Jio is partnering with US-based smartphone manufacturer to manufacture the nearly 100 Million smartphones locally in India. So seems like Jio is on a mission to make India smarter.
