Qualcomm recently unveiled the Snapdragon 855 at the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii and now has launched the top-end chipset for laptops and 2 in 1 running on Windows with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx.
The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx is the first chipset to built on the 7nm process which is made for Windows OS running Notebooks and 2 in 1. It is the successor to SD850 which was launched earlier this year. The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx will ship with most powerful GPU the Adreno 680 GPU with double the memory from 64 bit to 128 bit for a smoother and lag-free experience.
The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx comes with fastest CPU with Qualcomm Kyro 495 CPU which has a larger cache than the predecessor. It is the first Qualcomm chipset to support the Windows 10 Enterprise edition. The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx will ship with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0+ along with Qualcomm Aqstic Audio technology which helps to deliver HD Bluetooth wireless audio and also enhances the accessibility for voice assistants like Cortona and Alexa.
The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx comes with support for second gen USB 3.1 and third gen PCI-E and one can opt for two 4K HDR monitors to their Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx device. The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx ships with Snapdragon X24 LTE modem. The Snapdragon 8cx is currently sampling to customers and is expected to begin shipping in commercial devices in Q3 of 2019.
