Apple launched three new iPhones with iPhone Xr, iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max which look a lot similar to last year launched iPhone X. Once upon a time Apple was emerging and ruling the premium smartphone segment has now been facing weaker sales year after year probably due to lack of innovation and overpricing.
As per the Nomura analyst Anne Lee, Apple sales will further decline in coming years 2019 and 2020. This year Apple managed to ship around 213 million iPhone which will be dropped to 204 million next year and 200 million by 2020 as per the report. The drop in sales is caused due to minor design changes for the upcoming iPhones.
Further, the source also reveals that the new 2019 iPhones will carry the same design language as the original iPhone X. So we can tell that the 2019 iPhones will look a lot similar to iPhone Xr, iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max in terms of design but will ship with upgraded internals with better cameras and some AR features.
The source also claims that the major changes in iPhones will arrive by 2020 by removing the controversial notch on the display. Further, Apple will concentrate on 5G and AR support for iPhones.
