Earlier we had few reports which claim that the upcoming OnePlus 7 to arrive with 5G support which company has also discussed with various telecom operators in the US. Now, we have new details for the first 5G smartphone from OnePlus will not be the OnePlus 7.
As per the CNET interview with OnePlus, the company revealed some more details about the upcoming 5G OnePlus smartphone. As per the source, the new OnePlus 7 will not arrive with the next gen of communication with 5G instead will release the new smartphone lineup with 5G support by early 2019.
As 5G is more expensive as it is still under initial development it might make the overall cost of the device more expensive so this might be the reason OnePlus decided to go with new smartphone lineup for the 5G networks which will further help OnePlus to maintain the low-pricing for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T in 2019. As per the source, the most expensive OnePlus device with 5G and all new design is all set to launch by early 2019.
We can expect OnePlus to unveil the most expensive smartphone at MWC 2019 in Feb next year.
