Looks like after MediaTek flagship chipset Helio P80 we now have spotted another mid-range SoC with MediaTek Helio X40. Now we have spotted the alleged MediaTek Helio X40 on Geekbench listing.
As per the listing an unknown device which is powered by the new MediaTek Helio X40 which comes with model number MediaTek MT6779. The alleged MediaTek Helio X40 scored 2205 scores under single core and impressive 6831 under multi-core test which is higher than the Helio P30 SoC.
As per the listing, the alleged MediaTek Helio X40 comes with Octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz. As per the configuration, the MediaTek Helio X40 comes with Cortex A75 Cores which ARM has recently unveiled which comes with almost 34% increase in performance. Further, we can expect that the new MediaTek Helio X40 will be based on the 7nm process.
