Nokia is all set to launch the successor to last year launched Nokia 8 with Nokia 8.1 later this year. Earlier Nokia unveiled the Nokia X7 in China which might be launched globally as Nokia 7.1 Plus. Now we have spotted the Nokia 8.1 listed on Geekbench.
As per the listing, the device is listed as HMD Nokia 8.1 which has recently run through the Geekbench Benchmarks. The new Nokia 8.1 is powered by SD710 the same chipset as the Nokia X7. It is coupled with 4GB RAM and runs on the latest Android 9 Pie out of the box.
The new Nokia 8.1 scored 1841 under single core and 5807 under multi-core test which is similar to Nokia 7.1 Plus aka Nokia X7. So we are bit confused here why will Nokia launch the Nokia 8.1 with the same specs as the Nokia X7 is the company rebranding the Nokia X7 as Nokia 8.1 for Global markets? We have to wait for that for a few more days.
