Lenovo finally makes a comeback to smartphone business in India with the new killer K-series Lenovo K9 along with budget smartphone Lenovo A5. The new Lenovo K9 is priced at Rs.8999/- and comes in Black and Blue colors whereas the Lenovo A5 will arrive in Black and Gold colors. Lenovo A5 is priced at Rs.5999/- for 2GB+16GB and Rs.6999 for 3GB+32GB. Both the devices are exclusive to Flipkart and we are still not sure from when these devices will go on sale.
Lenovo K9:
The new Lenovo K9 built out of metal and glass back which gives a glossy finish. The Lenovo K9 weighs 155 grams and is 7.95 mm thick. The device will ship with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The new Lenovo K9 sports 5.7 inches HD+ (1440 × 720p) 18:9 aspect ratio display. It is covered with 2.5D curved Glass on top. Lenovo K9 is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for further memory expansion upto 256GB.
The Lenovo K9 features Dual rear cameras with a primary sensor of 13MP having an aperture of f/2.2, PDAF, 1.12-micrometer pixel size and 5MP secondary camera with an aperture of f/2.4, 1.12-micrometer pixel size, CCT, and Dual LED flash. On the front, we have same Dual selfie cameras with 13MP+5MP along with Soft-LED flash. It also brings some AI features like Face Unlock within 0.3sec.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack and USB Type-C port. The Lenovo K9 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with lower 3000 mAh battery.
Lenovo A5:
Lenovo also introduced the Redmi 6A competitor with Lenovo A5 a budget smartphone specifically made for India. The new Lenovo A5 is made out of the metal back which weighs 176 grams and is 8.5 mm thick.
The Lenovo A5 sports 5.45 inches HD+ display with a resolution of 1440*720p. It is covered by 2.5D curved Glass on top. Lenovo A5 is powered by MediaTek MT6739 SoC coupled with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB internal storage. It comes with an option to expand the storage via microSD card up to 256GB.
The Lenovo A5 features 13MP single rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2 along with LED flash and 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2 which also doubles up as Face Unlock. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, GLONASS, micro USB port, FM Radio, and 3.5 mm audio port.
It does feature rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Lenovo A5 runs on Android 8.1 along with larger 4000 mAh battery.
