Oppo launched the new Oppo R17 & Oppor R17 Pro in China which came with the new triple camera setup and in-display fingerprint scanner. Now we have the trim down version of the original Oppo R17 all set to launch soon as it passes through TENAA in China.
As per TENAA listing, the new cheaper version of Oppo R15 comes in three models probably storage variants with PBCM30, PBCM10, and PBCT10. All the three models look exactly similar to Oppo R17 in terms of design. The device does feature the new Waterdrop display with a tiny notch similar to Oppo R17.
All three devices feature Dual rear camera aligned horizontally with Dual LED flash beside it. All the three devices might feature a glass back with a gradient finish. As per TENAA, all three models are powered by 1.95 GHz which is 2.0 GHz clocked unknown processor which is rumored to be the SD670 or MediaTek Helio P60 SoC. It is coupled with 6GB+64GB on PBCM30, 4GB+128GB on PBCM10 and PBCT10.
The most interesting fact is there is no fingerprint scanner on the back which makes us think it might rely on Face unlock or may come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Anyway, TENAA further reveals that all three models will ship with 25MP selfie sensor and 16MP+2MP Dual rear cameras with LED flash.
Apart from that, nothing much about the device it leaked. we can expect Oppo might call the device as Oppo R17s. As the device already passed the TENAA certification we can expect it to launch soon in China.
