Xiaomi has finally launched its second Android One smartphone with Mi A2 in India. After the global debut in Spain, Mi A2 has finally reached India. The new Mi A2 is priced at Rs.16,999/- for 4GB+64GB variant and will soon introduce the 6GB+128GB variant. The Mi A2 will go on pre-orders from today on Amazon and Mi.com and will ship from next week. The first sale will start from Aug 16 via all leading Mi Home outlets including Mi.com and Amazon.
The launch offer includes flat Rs.2200 cashback in the form of voucher along with extra 4.5TB 4G data for Reliance Jio Users. The new Mi A2 will be available in Lake Blue, Gold, Rose Gold and Black colors.
Xiaomi Mi A2:
The Xiaomi Mi A2 look similar to Redmi Note 5 Pro in terms of design with slight change in placement of antenna bands which are hidden on top and bottom of the device. It is completely built out of metal and weighs 168 grams. It is just 7.3 mm thick.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 sports a 5.99 inches FHD+ display covered with 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by SD660 SoC built on 14nm process coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM with a 64GB/128GB storage option.
It is the first mid-range smartphone to come with AI-based Dual rear cameras after Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S. The Xiaomi Mi A2 features 12MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.75 using Sony IMX486 sensor, 1.25μm pixel size, and secondary 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor with an aperture of f/1.75, Dual LED Flash and 4 in 1 – 2.0um pixels. It also features the 20MP selfie camera using Sony IMX376 with an aperture of f/1.75, 4 in 1 – 2.0um pixels and Soft LED flash. The rear camera also comes with intelligent scene detection feature and can detect up to 12 scene modes. It also has Face Unlock feature.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, IR Blaster, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C Port, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and no 3.5 mm audio port. It is fueled by 3010 mAh battery and supports QC 3.0. The device runs on Android 8.1 without any custom UI.
