After a series of leaks, we finally have the third sub-brand from Xiaomi with Pocophone official launched in India. The first phone under the new sub-brand Pocophone is called as Poco F1. The new Poco F1 will come in Graphite Black, Steel Blue and Rosso Red colors along with special edition Armored Edition with Kevlar back.
The new Xiaomi Poco F1 is priced at Rs.20,999/- for the 6GB+64GB variant, Rs.23,999/- for the 6GB+128GB, Rs.28999/- for 8GB+256GB and Armored Edition with Kevlar back with 8GB+256GB at Rs.29,999/- in India. The Poco F1 will be exclusive through Flipkart and Mi.com and will go on sale from 29 Aug at 12 noon.
The launch offers to include extra Rs.1000/- off for HDFC Bank credit/debit card users and free up to 6TB additional 4G data from Reliance Jio along with Rs.8000/- worth instant vouchers.
The new Poco F1 is made out of polycarbonate shell and also comes with a special edition with Kevlar back which is named as Armoured Edition. The new Poco F1 weighs 180 grams and is 8.8 mm thick. The device will also come with new Liquid cooling tech so that the device prevents overheating issues while playing heavy games.
The new Poco F1 sports 6.18 inches FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9 having a resolution of 2246*1080p. It is protected by 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass on top. It is powered by the SD845 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB storage options which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.
The Poco F1 features a Dual camera with12MP primary Sony IMX363 sensor with an aperture of f/1.9, 1.4um large pixel, Dual Pixel AF and Dual LED flash and secondary 5MP Samsung sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 and 1.12um pixel. There is 20MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0 along with IR sensor for Face Unlock under low-light condition. The Poco F1 camera also comes with AI support similar to other Xiaomi devices. It can shoot videos up to 4K @30fps and slow-mo videos at 720p @240fps and 1080p @240fps.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G+ VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, FM Radio, Fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C Port and 3.5 mm audio port with Dirac HD and Dual Smart PA support.
The Poco F1 is fueled by larger 4000 mAh battery along with Qualcomm QC 3.0 support. It runs on Android 8.1 with MIUI 9.0 on top.
