With Google announcing the stable version of the next iteration of Android OS with Android 9 Pie earlier this week. Google also announced its partners who will start pushing the new Android 9 Pie update by end of this year.
Now the Chinese brand Vivo has confirmed in an interview with Android Authority that they will provide the new Android 9 Pie update by Q4 of 2018. Sadly, there is no roadmap leaked and we are not sure which will be the first smartphone to receive update. There are rumors about the Vivo X21 will be the first to get the new Android 9 Pie update.
But Vivo has said that they would provide the Android 9 Pie update as soon as possible. There is no exact date provided by the company. Anyway, Essential PH-1 is the first smartphone to receive the Android 9 Pie on the date of the launch itself.
