With next gen of communication the 5G launching later next year we have many players already in the race to launch their very first 5G smartphone. After successful 5G test by various brands, we now have the first 5G smartphone to successfully test the new 5G test.
Oppo has successfully tested the first 5G test on the Oppo R15 in China. The device has been passed through 3GPP Release 15 NSA standard with 10MHz bandwidth under 4G LTE band 5 and 5G NR n78 band with 20MHz bandwidth.
The Oppo R15 comes with new Snapdragon X50 Modem which was announced earlier this year. As per the reports, Oppo has confirmed that the first commercial 5G smartphone will be available by the beginning of 2019. So probably we can expect the upcoming Oppo R17 might be the first 5G handset from Oppo.
