Motorola finally launches the flagship smartphone the Moto Z3 in the US today. The new Moto Z3 will be exclusive to Verizon at $20/month in the US and will go on sale from Aug 16. The Moto Z3 will cost $460 (Rs.33,000/-) in the US. Motorola also adds the new Moto 5G Mod which helps the device directly upgrade to 5G networks once launched. The Moto 5G Mod will be available from early 2019 in the US.
Motorola launched the first 5G Mod which comes with 5G networks support which will be exclusive to Verizon in the US. The 5G Mod can also turn into Wifi Hotspot similar to any other smartphone. Apart from 5G networks the mod also adds extra 2000 mAh battery.
Motorola adds the Moto Z3 after the Moto Z3 Play which was launched earlier in June. The new Moto Z3 looks identical to Moto Z3 Play and is built out of series 6 aluminum frame and glass back. The new Moto Z3 features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It weighs 156 gram and is 6.75 mm thick.
The new Moto Z3 sports 6.01 inches FHD+ 2160 x 1080p Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. It is powered by SD835 coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 2TB.
The Moto Z3 features Dual rear cameras with the primary sensor of 12MP having an aperture of f/2.0 and 1.25um pixel size with a secondary sensor of 12MP, Dual LED flash, CCT, Laser AF and ZSL. It comes with 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and 1.12um pixel size with wide-angle 84° lens and screen flash. It also supports Face Unlock.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM/Single SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, Dual Band Wifi, NFC, and USB Type-C port. The device features a 3000 mAh battery along with Moto 15W fast charger with Wireless charging support. It features front-firing stereo speakers along with four far field mics. The Moto Z3 runs on Android 8.1 out of the box. The device also has water resistant.
