BlackBerry finally launches the low-end model of recently launched BlackBerry Key2 with BlackBerry Key2 LE in IFA Berlin. The new BlackBerry Key2 LE will hit Globally soon. The BlackBerry Key2 LE is priced at $399 (Rs.28,300/-) in the US for the base 32GB variant, £349 for the UK, CAD 519 for Canada & €399 for Europe.
The new BlackBerry Key2 LE comes with a similar design to the original BlackBerry Key2 but with different internals. It uses plastic chassis over the metal and is using different material when compared with original. The BlackBerry Key2 LE will come in various colours like Slate, Champagne and Atomic with the latter having cool red keyboard accent. It weighs 156 grams and is 8.6mm thick.
The new BlackBerry Key2 LE will sport 4.5 inches FHD display (1080 x 1620p) with an aspect ratio of 3:2 and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The BlackBerry Key2 LE is powered by SD636 SoC when compared with SD660 on BlackBerry Key2. It comes in 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage options which can be expanded via microSD.
The new BlackBerry Key2 LE will also have Dual rear camera but with 13MP primary sensor having an aperture of f/2.2 and 5MP secondary depth sensor with aperture of f/2.4 with Dual tone Dual LED flash. Sadly, there is no telephoto lens here. The rear camera can shoot videos up to 4K @30fps. It features 8MP selfie camera.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, NFC, FM Radio, GLONASS, USB Type-C Port, fingerprint scanner, and 3.5 mm audio jack. It runs on Android 8.1 and is fueled with 3000 mAh battery.
