Xiaomi has finally confirmed the name Mi A2 with its new teaser on all leading social media ahead of July 24 global launch in Spain. Earlier Xiaomi teased the Global launch event on July 24 in Spain.
As per the teaser, we can see the Mi A1 been mentioned with #2isbetterthan1 and Android One branding on the teaser but has not mentioned the Mi A2 anywhere in the teaser. But the teaser itself confirms that the next gen will be called Mi A2 and has mentioned the next gen is coming.
Anyway, the teaser also shows the front view of the upcoming Mi A2 which is nothing but rebranded variant of Mi 6X which was launched in China. Apart from that, we have now spotted the cheaper variant of Mi A2 with Mi A2 Lite listed on AliExpress.
As per the listing, the Mi A2 Lite will have a similar design as the Redmi 6 Pro with a notch having 5.84 inches FHD+ display and stock Android experience. The Mi A2 Lite will be powered by SD625 SoC coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage option. It comes with dedicated microSD card slot along with Dual SIM card slot.
It features 12MP+5MP dual rear camera along with LED flash which can record videos up to 4K and 5MP selfie camera. The device is fueled by 4000 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 with Android One support. The 3GB variant cost $190 (Rs.13,000/-) whereas the 4GB at $210 (Rs.14,500/-) and will ship globally.
