Xiaomi has finally launched the successor to Mi Max 2 with Mi Max 3 in China earlier this week. The new Mi Max 3 buy with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at 1699 Yuan (Rs.17,300/-) and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage at 1999 Yuan (Rs.20,500/-) in China. The Mi Max 3 is already on sale in China. The Mi Max 3 will be available in Meteorite Black, Dream Gold, and Dark Blue colors.
As expected the new Mi Max 3 sports similar design as the Redmi Note 5 Pro with iPhone X like Dual rear camera setup separated by Dual LED flash. The Mi Max 3 is built out of metal and weighs around 221 gram which is heavier due to large battery size. It is just 7.99 mm thick.
The new Xiaomi Mi Max 3 sports larger 6.9 inches FHD+ IPS display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 covered with 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by SD636 SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage option which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB.
The Mi Max 3 features Dual rear cameras with a 12MP primary sensor using Sony IMX363 sensor, 1.4µm pixel size, f/1.9 aperture, Dual PD focus, and 5MP secondary camera with Dual LED flash. There is 8MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0 and pixel size of 1.12µm.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G VoLTE support, Bluetooth 5.0, Dual Band Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, IR Blaster and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Mi Max 3 brings back the 3.5 mm audio jack. All this is fueled by large 5500 mAh battery with QC 3.0 support. The Mi Max 3 is running on Android 8.1 with MIUI 9.5 on top.
