Earlier we had a few rumors about Samsung to finally bring the in-display fingerprint scanner on the Samsung Galaxy S10. Earlier Samsung Mobile Head DJ Koh, too confirmed that upcoming 2019 smartphones to feature Ultrasonic fingerprint scanners.
As per reports by DigiTimes, Samsung will finally add the Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner to the Samsung Galaxy S10 – Industry Insiders. This move is to differentiate the competition with Apple FaceID and other Chinese smartphone brands using optical in-display fingerprint tech.
As per reports, Samsung will launch three variants of Samsung Galaxy S10 with 5.8 inches will feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner whereas the other two with 6.1 inches and 6.4 inches AMOLED display will feature an Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Samsung is expecting to sell nearly 40 million 6.1 inches and 6.4 inches AMOLED display Samsung Galaxy S10.
Samsung is set to begin the mass production of Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner by the second half of 2018 as per the report. Samsung is expected to outsource more in-display fingerprint scanner from Taiwan-based General Interface Solution (GIS) and China-based O-film Tech.
