Samsung Display has just launched Unbreakable Panel’s which has recently certified by Underwriters laboratories which is part of OSHA in the US. We even saw Motorola launching their unbreakable display with Moto Z2 Force so now Samsung bringing such a display on its future smartphones.
Samsung also mentions that the Unbreakable Panels will make its way for other electronic markets like display console for automobile, portable gaming console, military mobile devices and Tablet PC’s for e-learning.
The new Unbreakable Panel comes with Samsung’s flexible OLED display which is covered by the unbreakable substrate with an overlay window securely adhered to it. As per Samsung, the unbreakable display has gone through the various durability test based on MIL Standards in the US.
Even after a drop from 4 feet height for about 26 times the display continues to work flawlessly without any damages. Even dropping from 6 feet height which is higher than the US Military standard the new Unbreakable Panel did perform well without any breakages.
Hope Samsung bring such a display to all its flagship smartphone and we can expect it to first make a debut with Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
