Qualcomm is all set to unveil the next flagship chipset with SD855 later this year. Earlier we had got few rumors about the chipset to feature new 7nm node and will come with 5G support.

Now we have a new leak by a popular tipster Roland, who claims that SD855 is already under mass-production. According to the tweet, SD855 has gone on mass production from June 2018. As per previous leaks, the new SD855 will be officially launching not earlier than Q1 of 2019.

We can expect all 2019 flagship smartphones to feature the new SD855 SoC. Earlier we also spotted the alleged Sony device powered by the unannounced SD855 SoC so we can expect Sony might be the first brand to launch the new SD855 SoC. We are still not sure SD855 will ever come with 5G support at the moment.

Apart from that, we spotted the unknown Xiaomi device with SD855 on Geekbench listing. As per the listing, the device is powered by SD855 SoC but scored just 1784 under single core test and 6359 under multi-core test which is equivalent to SD835 SoC.

So it sounds fishy here, we might expect that the device might have the older chipset. It comes with 64GB internal storage and runs on Android 8.1.0. With this, we can expect SD855 to launch soon.
