Earlier we had got a series of leaks and rumors about Samsung might just launch the world’s first foldable smartphone by Q1 of 2019 or at CES 2019. Now we have new reports from Nikkei which claims that Chinese smartphone king Huawei is planning to launch the world’s first foldable smartphone by end of this year.
We have previously got many patents about the upcoming Foldable smartphones but they never made their way to the markets. As per reports, Huawei will introduce the world’s first foldable smartphone which will use BOE made flexible OLED panels. So Huawei is not depending on Samsung or LG but Chinese company BOE.
As per industry insiders, Huawei is planning to make just 20,000-30,000 units for the early users. The reason behind lower units is Huawei just wants to get the tag world’s first foldable smartphone just to beat Samsung. As per analyst, the Huawei Foldable smartphone will launch in early 2019. The Huawei Foldable smartphone will cost above $1500.
