Microsoft is now planning to launch some cheaper tablets under Surface series in coming weeks. Earlier we had few rumors about the cheaper variant of Microsoft Surface Tablet, today we have spotted the device on FCC listing.
As per the FCC, the upcoming Microsoft Surface Tablet is listed as 1824 which might be the model number of the device. As per previous leaks, the upcoming Microsoft Surface Tablet will sport 10 inches display with rounded corners and is rumored to be powered by Intel processor.
The FCC listing reveals that the new Microsoft Surface Tablet will come with 24W Surface Connect adapter which was found on Surface Pro 4 and is expected to arrive with battery life that lasts for 9.5 hours on a single charge. The listing also reveals that the Surface Pro 5 might come with a 36W charger which is faster than the predecessor.
As per the listing, the cheaper variant of Surface Tab will still run on Windows 10 Pro out of the box similar to higher-end Surface tablets. There are reports claiming that the new cheaper Surface tablet would likely to be priced under $400 in the US and with FCC listing we can expect the device to be official soon.
