Hike today announced the launch of a sticker pack on the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi, an important religious festival celebrated mainly in Maharashtra and also other parts of the country to pay homage to Lord Vishnu, the preserver as per Hindu mythology. Devotees celebrate this festival through a procession over 21 days from Pune district to the Vitobha Temple in Pandharpur on July 23rd.
Legend has it that Lord Vishnu who had fallen into a deep sleep for 4 months woke up on this Ekadashi. The culmination of the yatra is celebrated in Maharashtra with a lot of grandeur and pomp as devotees, dressed in traditional attire, sing hymns as they move in the procession towards Pandharpur.
Hike users can celebrate the festival with loved ones by sending graphical “Shubh Ashadhi Ekadashi” greetings instead of just typing plain text messages or even posting stories with special story stickers celebrating the festival.
