Alcatel had launched another mid-range smartphone with Alcatel 5V today. The new Alcatel 5V will go on sale in July selected markets for a price tag of $199.99. The Alcatel 5V will be available in two colors with Spectrum Blue and Black.
The Alcatel 5V looks similar to any other device featuring a notched display from the front and is made out of metal and glass back which comes with Optical Vacuum Plating (OPVM) coating that makes the device shines. It weighs around 158 grams and is 8.5 mm thick.
The Alcatel 5V sports 6.2 inches HD+ display with a resolution of 1500*720p with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and is covered by 2.5D curved Dragontrail Glass for protection. It is powered by MediaTek MT6762 Helio P22 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card slot up to 128GB.
The Alcatel 5V features Dual rear camera with primary 12MP having an aperture of f/2.2, the pixel size of 1.25μm, the sensor size of 1/2.8″ and a secondary camera of 2MP having an aperture of f/2.4, the pixel size of 1.75μm, the sensor size of 1/5″, PDAF, EIS, Dual LED flash and can shoot video up to 1080p @30fps. There is 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2, the pixel size of 1.12μm, the sensor size of 1/4″ and can record videos up to 720p which also doubles up as Face Unlock.
The connectivity option includes Single/Dual SIM with 4G LTE support, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, micro USB port, FM Radio, 3.5 mm audio port, and fingerprint scanner. The device is fueled by 4000 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 out of the box.
