Xiaomi earlier confirmed the launch of Redmi 6 Pro which was expected to launch on June 25 but now the device is already official in China and is up on pre-orders in Xiaomi Mall and JD.com for the price of 100 Yuan and remaining amount will be paid later. Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is priced at 999 Yuan for 3GB+32GB (Rs.10,500/-) variant and 1299 Yuan (Rs.13,550/-) for 4GB+64GB variant and will go on sale from June 26 at 10 AM in China.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro will come in five colors with Cherry Pink, Red, Gold, Blue and Black colors. The new Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro comes with Redmi Note 5 Pro like back but overall looks similar to iPhone X in terms of design. It is completely made out of metal unibody and features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It weighs around 178 grams and is 8.75 thick.
The new Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro sports 5.84 inches FHD+ bezel-less display with a notch having an aspect ratio of 19:9 and resolution of 2280*1080p with 84% NTSC color gamut. The new Redmi 6 Pro is powered by the same old SD625 SoC coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage which can be further expanded via dedicated microSD card slot up to 128GB.
Xiaomi has also added software feature to hide the display notch. The new Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro features Dual camera setup with the 12MP primary sensor and 5MP secondary sensor with an aperture of f/2.2, 1.25-micron pixel, Dual LED flash, PDAF, AI Portrait, and capability to record video up to 1080 @30fps. It features 5MP selfie camera with AI support, and face unlocks.
The connectivity options include Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, GLONASS, micro USB Port, 3.5 mm audio port, IR Blaster and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. All this is fueled by a larger 4000mAh battery and no fast charging support. The Redmi 6 Pro runs on Android 8.0 with MIUI 9.0 on top.
