Vivo has finally launched the new Vivo NEX S & Vivo NEX A with the highest screen to body ratio of 91.24%. Both the The Vivo NEX S & Vivo NEX A come in Diamond Black and Red colors. The Vivo NEX S with in-display fingerprint scanner having 8GB+128GB at 4498 Yuan (Rs.47,400/-) & 256GB variant at 4998 Yuan (Rs.52,700/-) whereas the Vivo NEX A is priced at 3898 Yuan (Rs.41,100/-). Both the smartphones will go on sale from June 23.
Both the Vivo NEX A & Vivo NEX S are built out meta and glass design and looks similar to Vivo V9 from the rear view. The Vivo NEX A comes with rear-mounted fingerprint scanner whereas the Vivo NEX S with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Both Vivo NEX A & Vivo NEX S weighs 199 grams and is 7.98 mm thick.
The new Vivo NEX S & NEX A comes with a nearly bezel-less display and no earpiece as it is replaced with Xiaomi Mi Mix like Screen SoundCasting Technology which vibrates the screen and comes with a light sensor hidden under the display which uses ray data compensation algorithm and comes with a pop-up mechanism for the selfie camera which uses micro-stepping motors, with independent drive ICs and precision control algorithms for better functionality.
Vivo NEX S also features the third generation of in-display fingerprint sensor which consumes 50% lesser battery, 10% faster and smaller than the predecessor. Both the smartphones also feature dedicated hardware key to launch Jovi AI similar to Bixby key on Samsung smartphones.
Both the Vivo NEX S & Vivo NEX A sport same 6.59 inches Super AMOLED FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.3:9 and having a resolution of 2316*1080p. The Vivo NEX S is powered by SD845 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage option whereas Vivo NEX A becomes the second smartphone to powered by SD710 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Sadly, both the devices don’t come with microSD card slot.
The Vivo NEX S & Vivo NEX A features the Dual rear camera with a primary sensor of a 12MP Dual PD camera using Sony IMX363 sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and secondary 5MP camera with an aperture of f/2.8, Dual Tone Dual LED flash and 4-axis OIS. It also comes with 8MP pop-up mechanism based selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and Dual VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi & 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, and 3.5 mm audio port. The Vivo NEX S also features CS43199 + SSM6322 Amplifier whereas the Vivo NEX A comes with AK4376A DAC for better audio.
Both the Vivo NEX S & Vivo NEX A are powered by same 4000 mAh battery and support fast charging of 22.5W. Both the devices run on Android 8.1 with FunTouch OS 4.0 on top.
