Sony had unveiled the new Sony Xperia XZ2 with new 18:9 aspect ratio display but came with thicker bezels and odd design called Ambient Flow which made the device thicker and heavier in real-life usage and left Sony fans disappointed.
Now Sony own blog has published the interview with Ichino who is the product planning head has revealed their thoughts on the recent bezel-less display trend. He further explained that after increasing the display and reducing the bezels will lead to improper functioning of certain features like selfie camera placement and even lead to removing the front firing stereo speakers.
Due to lack of content having the new 18:9 aspect ratio Sony launched the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium with 16:9 aspect ratio 4K display. Sony team further claimed that they are working on the new bezel-less trend and are not in a hurry to bring the new design changes and might take some time.
