Samsung is on roll after launching Samsung Galaxy A8, A8+, A6, A6+ we have another A-series smartphone launched with Samsung Galaxy A9 Star and Galaxy A9 Star Lite in China yesterday. Samsung Galaxy A9 Star comes in Black and White colors whereas Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite comes in Blue and Black colors.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Star and Galaxy A9 Star Lite are priced at 3699 Yuan (Rs.38,600/-) and 2699 Yuan (Rs.28,100/-) respectively. Both the devices are already up on pre-orders until June 14 and will finally go on sale from June 15 in China.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Star:
The new Samsung Galaxy A9 Star comes with premium looks and is made out of metal and glass. It is probably the successor to Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro which was launched in 2016. It weighs around 188 grams and is 7.55 mm thick.
The super slim Samsung Galaxy A9 Star sports larger 6.28 inches FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. It is powered by SD660 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM & 64GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.
It features 24MP+16MP dual rear camera with Dual Tone Dual LED flash. It comes with 24MP selfie camera which also features Face unlock. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C Port, fingerprint scanner, and 3.5 mm audio jack.
All this is fueled with 3700 mAh battery with fast charging support and runs on Android 8.0 with Samsung Experience UI on top.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite:
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite is the rebranded version of recently launched Samsung Galaxy A6+ and comes with exactly similar specs and same metal unibody design. It weighs 191 grams and is 7.9 mm thick.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite sports 6.0 inches FHD+ (1080 x 2220p) Super AMOLED Infinity display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 covered with 2.5D curved glass on top. Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite is powered by SD450 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory and both the device’s memory can be expanded via dedicated microSD card slot up to 256GB.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite features a Dual rear camera with 16MP+5MP having an aperture of f/1.7+f/1.9 coupled with LED flash. The Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite features 24MP selfie sensor with an aperture of f/1.9 and LED flash.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Dual Band Wifi, GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack, micro USB port, HT 4.0, Dolby Atmos support, fingerprint scanner, and FM Radio. All this is fueled by 3500 mAh battery on Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite and run on Android 8.0 with Samsung Experience UI on top.
