Samsung is a well-known brand in the world of mobile display and makes good quality displays. Earlier Samsung had launched its flexible OLED display specifically for flagship category with its Edge display which we already saw on Samsung Galaxy S9 and other flagship.
Now we have a report from South Korea claiming that Samsung Display will supply their signature Edge display to Oppo Mobiles so we can expect Samsung Edge display like a smartphone from Oppo soon.
As per the report, Samsung is supplying the 6.42 inches display for Oppo next flagship. Samsung had already provided its display to Oppo in the past but this is the first time Samsung is supplying their trademarked Edge display or flexible OLED display to Chinese manufacturer Oppo.
There are rumors of Oppo might use the Edge display on their upcoming Oppo R series which are currently rigid OLED panels which cost $20 whereas the Edge display will cost $100 for the screen itself. Oppo might unveil their first flexible OLED display smartphone by July or August of this year.
