Moto Z3 Play

After series of leaks about the Moto Z3 Play we finally have the device officially launched by Motorola today. The new Moto Z3 Play will be available in Deep Indigo color and is priced at R$ 2999 (Rs.40,100/-) in Brazil. The Moto Z3 Play will roll out globally in coming weeks. The device will be available in the US at price tag of $499 (Rs.33,400/-) and will be bundled along with Moto Battery Mod.

The new Moto Z3 Play is built out of metal and glass back. It features aircraft-grade 6000 series aluminum frame along with glass back protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is super slim with just 6.7mm thick and weighs 156 grams.

The new Moto Z3 Play sports 6.0 inches FHD+ Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 having a resolution of 2160*1080p covered with 2.5D glass. It is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The Moto Z3 Play is powered by Redmi Note 5 Pro debut chipset SD636 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage with an option to expand storage via microSD card up to 2TB.

The new Moto Z3 Play feature Dual rear camera with a 12MP primary camera having an aperture of f/1.7, 1.4um pixel and secondary 5MP depth camera with f/2.2 aperture, Dual Autofocus Pixel, and Dual Tone Dual LED flash. It can shoot videos up to 4K. It features 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2,1.12um, wide-angle 84° lens, face unlock & screen flash. It can shoot videos up to 1080p @30fps.

The camera also comes with AI support like Google Lens feature out of the box which detects the landmark and objects and provides info. It also comes with Portrait and Cinemagraphs mode. The Moto Z3 Play will no longer come with Android-based three navigation buttons and is replaced by single navigation key at the bottom of the screen.

The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C port and side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It features front-firing loudspeakers with 4 far-field mic system.

All this is fueled by 3000 mAh battery with 15W TurboPower charger bundled within the package. It runs on stock Android UI with Android 8.1 out of the box. Motorola also launched new Moto Mods along with Moto Z3 Play.
