After announcing the new SD700 series with first 10nm based mid-range chipset with SD710 SoC we now have spotted the successor to SD660 SoC in works with SD680 SoC. We have now spotted a device powered by SD680 SoC on Geekbench listing.
As per Geekbench, the unknown smartphone is powered by SD680 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and is running on Android 8.1 out of the box. As per the listing, the SD680 SoC is hexacore CPU and is clocked at 2.15 GHz and is had got single test score of 1940 which is equivalent to SD835 SoC which was launched in 2017.
So SD680 SoC will be a powerful processor after all The new SD680 SoC might be built on a 14nm process similar to SD660 SoC. As of now, there are no details about whether Qualcomm will ever launch the new SD680 SoC.
