Xiaomi

Earlier we had few rumors of Xiaomi will not include the new 3D sensor for facial recognition on Mi 7 instead will launch on the 8th-anniversary edition smartphone. Earlier there were rumors of Xiaomi will launch both the devices on the same launch event.

Today, one of the popular tipsters has shared the first render showing the alleged 8th-anniversary edition smartphone notch carrying a structured 3D light module for facial recognition on Weibo. It looks like Xiaomi has inspired by iPhone X TrueDepth camera but has completely different setup.

We can also see the new MIUI with modified software for devices featuring notch as we can see the Wifi along with Cellular signal and battery indicator on the right of the notch. Apart from that, the tipster also confirms that the upcoming 8th-anniversary edition smartphone will be called the Xiaomi Mi 8 which sounds strange to us and will be the first Android smartphone to come with 3D facial recognition tech.

As per rumors, the Mi 8 will not include the fingerprint scanner and the Mi 7 might come with an in-display fingerprint scanner as Xiaomi CEO confirmed about the same in the past.
