Vivo has finally taken the lead with the launch of the first smartphone with Vivo Y83 to be powered by the recently announced MediaTek Helio P22. Vivo Y83 is already up on sale in China for 1498 Yuan (Rs.16,050/-) and comes with the free back case along with headphones. The Vivo Y83 will be available in Aurora white, Polar Black and Red colors.
The Vivo Y83 looks similar to recently launched the Vivo V9 with iPhone X like notch and bezel-less display. It is completely made out of metal and comes with a glossy finish with the help of high-gloss coating technology. It weighs 150 grams and is 7.7mm thick.
The Vivo Y83 sports 6.22 inches HD+ with a resolution of 1520*720p IPS display. It is powered by latest MediaTek Helio P22 SoC clocked at 2.0 GHz coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.
The Vivo Y83 features single rear camera of 13MP with an aperture of f/2.2 with LED flash and 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and comes with AI features along with Face Unlock. Sadly, there is no fingerprint scanner on this device.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE (dedicated slot), Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, micro USB port, and 3.5 mm audio port. All this is fueled by 3260 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 with FunTouch OS 4.0 on top.
