Oppo has finally unveiled their first sub-brand smartphone under RealME with RealMe 1 in India. The RealMe is an online exclusive brand from Oppo basically to tackle the likes of Xiaomi in India. The RealMe 1 will be exclusive to Amazon and will go on sale from May 25. The RealMe 1 comes in 3GB+32GB storage which is priced at Rs.8990/-, 4GB+64GB at Rs.10,990/- and 6GB+128GB at Rs.13,990/- which directly competes with Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Redmi Note 5 & Note 5 Pro.
The launch offers include 5% discount for SBI credit/debit card users, No cost EMI, 80% off on Amazon Kindle eBooks up to Rs.300/-, and Reliance Jio users get Rs.1800/- cashback as 36 coupons worth Rs.50/- each with benefits worth Rs.4800/-.
The RealMe 1 looks similar to Oppo F7 with Diamond finish and comes with a glossy back which is not glass but tempered glass back instead with metal frame. The RealMe 1 weighs around 155 grams and is 7.8 mm thick.
The RealMe 1 sports 6.0 inches FHD+ IPS display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered by MediaTek Helio P60 SoC coupled with 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB internal storage with an option to expand storage via microSD card up to 256GB (dedicated slot).
The RealMe 1 features 13MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and LED flash whereas 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and comes with AI-based Face unlock feature, AI stickers, AI Beauty and AI Real Selfie modes.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support (4G+4G), Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, GPS, Dual-Band Wifi, micro USB port, and 3.5 m audio jack. Sadly, the RealMe 1 is not having a fingerprint scanner and comes with Face Unlock feature. The RealMe 1 is fueled by 3410 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 with Color OS 5.0 on top. The RealMe 1 will be available in Solar Red and Diamond Black.
