OnePlus has officially unveiled their next flagship killer the OnePlus 6 at London today. The OnePlus 6 will be officially launching in India tomorrow. The OnePlus 6 with 6GB+64GB version will come in Mirror Black and is priced at $469 (Rs.29,100/-), €519 or £469 whereas the 8GB+128GB will come in three colors with Mirror Black, Midnight Black, and limited-edition Silk White and is priced at $579 (Rs.39,220/-), €569 or £519 and the last version with 8GB+256GB will come in Midnight Black and is priced at $629 (Rs.42,600/-), €619 or £569. All the variants of OnePlus 6 will go on sale from May 25.
The OnePlus 6 has got a major design change this year and will come with a nearly bezel-less display at the front with an iPhone X like a notch. The OnePlus 6 will be the first OnePlus smartphone to come with Glass back and will come in three colors with Mirror Black will have a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protected glass back whereas the Midnight Black too will have a Matte finish glass back and the Silk White uses pearl powder for shining effect. It weighs around 177 grams and is 7.75 mm thick.
Anyway, the OnePlus 6 looks stunning in Mirror Black with the shiny back. On the front, we have 6.28 inches 19:9 aspect ratio FHD+ Optic AMOLED display with a resolution of 2280*1080p protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
It is powered by SD845 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB storage variants with non-expandable storage. OnePlus 6 features 16MP Primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.7, 1/2.6″ Sony IMX519 sensor, 1.22μm pixel size and 20MP secondary (Telephoto lens 2X zoom) Sony IMX376K sensor with an aperture of f/1.7, 1.0μm pixel size, OIS, EIS, and Dual LED flash.
It can shoot slo-mo 720p videos @480fps, 1080p @240fps, and shoot 4K videos @60fps. It features same 16MP selfie Sony IMX376K sensor one found on OnePlus 5T having an aperture of f/2.0 and 1.0μm pixel size. There is also Face Unlock feature which uses selfie camera.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Bluetooth 5.0, Dual-band WiFi, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, 3.5 mm audio port, USB Type-C port, and fingerprint sensor. OnePlus 6 is the first OnePlus smartphone to have an IP68 rating which makes the device dust and water resistant. All this is fueled by 3300 mAh battery with OnePlus Dash charging support at 5V-4A. OnePlus 6 runs on Android 8.1 with Oxygen OS on top and will get the Android P update later this year.
