Earlier we had got the leaked images showing the Xiaomi Mi 8 or 8th Anniversary smartphone to feature the first 3D facial recognition camera and we also got various rumors about the device claiming to be unveiled along with Mi 7.
Finally, we have got the first live images showing the 8th Anniversary smartphone aka Xiaomi Mi 8 retail box package with the display panel. From the leaked images, we can see the Mi 8 retail box package having big 8 number on the front with Mi branding on the top-right corner.
Apart from that, the other image shows the display panel of the alleged Mi 8 which has got a wide notch above the display feature many cutouts for the rumored structured 3D light module for facial recognition. We have got thinner side bezels and thicker bottom bezels.
There are rumors of the alleged Mi 8 to feature OLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner and might be powered by SD845 SoC. Anyway, Xiaomi CEO has confirmed the launch event will be held in Shenzen and might launch the Mi 7 along with Mi Band 3.
