With dipping sales and a huge loss in HTC mobile division, we might see few smartphones coming from HTC this fall. But today, HTC has announced a new category of a smartphone called the Blockchain smartphone with HTC Exodus.
We already have the first Blockchain smartphone made by Sirin labs Finney smartphone which is priced at whopping $1000 and with HTC entering the Blockchain market the HTC Exodus might be the second blockchain smartphone. The HTC Exodus will allow users to store their cryptocurrencies and supports some of the bitcoins, Ethereum, and many other major cryptocurrency networks.
HTC is also allowing the user to buy the HTC Exodus via Bitcoins but as of now no details about the pricing. The device will be exclusive to a single carrier and Phile Chen the founder of HTC Vive will be taking care of the Blockchain smartphone with title decentralized chief officer. With growing popularity of cryptocurrency and blockchain ti might become the next big thing for the smartphone industry and we might see many brands launching their first BlockChain smartphone in the coming days.
