Xiaomi is now one of the top smartphone brands in China and is beefing up its strategy by launching many great devices at attractive price points and also expanding its offline reach to tackle with biggies Samsung in India.
Xiaomi India Global VP and MD Manu Jain said that Xiaomi is looking to expand its offline presence in India from 2017 to 2018 in an interview with Reuters.Till date, Xiaomi has launched 17 Mi stores across India and some more Mi stores will be opened soon.
Xiaomi is planning to open nearly 100 Mi stores by end of 2019 and is also partnering with major offline retailers to sell their smartphones.As per the interview, Xiaomi is going to launch 6-8 devices this year under various price segments.
Xiaomi will also unveil two new smart products this year.Manu Jain also told that in the near future Xiaomi will also start selling TV’s, scooters etc.Samsung is still leading with it offline presence and even Google is planning to market their Pixel devices in offline markets soon.
