As per China 3C documents, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus is having model number MET7 and MEE7.Apart from that, the report also tells that the higher Redmi 5 Plus variant will come with bezel-less full view display having an aspect ratio of 18:9.Even after having bezel-less display the Redmi 5 Plus comes with 5.7 inches HD display having a resolution of 1440 x 720p which translates to a pixel density of 282ppi.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus will be powered by SD450 chip which is the newest budget chip from Qualcomm which is clocked at 1.8 GHz coupled with Adreno 506 GPU with Qualcomm’s X9 LTE modem.Both the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus comes with 4GB RAM and might come with different storage variants which are still unknown.
As per source, the Redmi 5 Plus will feature Dual 13MP sensor at the back with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner below the camera module.The pricing of both the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus will range from $106(Rs.7000/-) to $136 (Rs.9000/-) in China.As per source, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus will be launching next week on Oct 17 in China.If the news is true then Xiaomi will surely leak some more details in coming days.
