Sony introduces new series under mid-range segment with Sony Xperia R1 and Sony Xperia R1 Plus in India yesterday. The Sony Xperia R1 and Sony Xperia R1 Plus are priced at Rs.12,990/- and Rs.14,990/- respectively and will go on sale starting on November 10 across all leading offline retail outlets and Sony stores.The Sony Xperia R1 and Sony Xperia R1 Plus will be available in two colours with Black and Silver.
Sony Xperia R1 and Sony Xperia R1 Plus looks exactly the same and comes with traditional Sony Omnibalance design which we usually see in all Sony devices.Both the devices weigh 154 grams and are thick at 8.89 mm.Sony Xperia R1 and Sony Xperia R1 Plus sports 5.2 inches HD 720p TFT display covered with 2.5D curved glass on top.It is powered by SD430 chip coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage on Sony Xperia R1 and Sony Xperia R1 Plus with 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. Both the devices come with dedicated storage expansion slot.
Apart from RAM and storage, both the devices have exactly the same specs.Sony Xperia R1 and Sony Xperia R1 Plus comes with 13MP Sony EXMOR sensor, with predictive Hybrid AF, LED flash and continuous shooting support.It also has 8MP selfie camera which also supports predictive Hybrid AF and continuous shooting support.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio port and FM Radio.All this is fueled with 2620 mAh battery and runs on Android N with Sony custom UI on top.
